Dorothy is so snide and sarcastic that you have to love her. Her eyebrows, yes, are a quite disturbing. In fact, it's 2:08 AM, and I'm just sitting here, looking at her eyebrows in the picture to the right. And they are looking back at me, too. In fact, I think they are fuzzy aliens with minds of their own.

Dorothy is trying to rape Milliardo.

"That's it, pretty boy! I've had enough of you nancing around up in here and randomly striking Sears catalogue poses! Besides, I never assist someone prettier than I am! Time to die!"

Name: Dorothy Cantaloupe. (I mean, Catalonia.)

Sex: Not until she does something with those brows. I mean, female

Age: 16 in GW, 17 in EW

Weight: Probably quite a bit more than Hilde or Relena, but not enough to classify her as a chub.

Height: 5'1"

Gundam: Uhm...she's a mobile doll controller. That's better, isn't it?

Distinguishable features: Forked eyebrows. Other than that, her ice blue eyes and butt-length platinum blond hair is pretty eye-catching.

Personality: Psychopathic. Next!
Kidding. She's one of the best characters, in my opinion. I love her witty sarcasm. She constantly mocks Relena to her face. I kept waiting for Relena to stop getting irritated and lay the smack down, but then we all realized Dorothy would kick Relena's ass and we would hate to see that happen because...well, just because. Dorothy doesn't have a true respective pairing within the series because she seems to be in love with war. (DorothyxWar? Why don't you keep those thoughts to yourselves. I shudder to think how that might be manifesting in your tiny brains as I speak.) Deep down, I think she's a pretty complex character. Her eloquence and wit is what made me love her. Of course, most people hate her, but it has nothing to do with her wit and everything to do with her eyebrows. Then there's the Quatre fans that despair because Dot stabbed their poor innocent little baby pilot. "Aw, Quatre, did that hurt?! Keep hanging out with Trowa, and you're going to get stabbed with a much blunter object in a spot that's a little more sensitive than you can imagine..." *imagines Quatre's bright and cherubic face, asking brightly, "Where?"*

Past: What IS her past? Lemme think. This is one of those things that is stored in my head, but I need a minute to let it come to me. *starts burning the Gundanium flavored incense.* Aha! Yeah, poor little Dot (as she is lovingly referred to as her fans) was orphaned and was brought up by that Super Psycho, Duke Dermail. (So that's where she inherited the Psycho-ness from.) Apparently, he raised her to be a Complete Psycho, and to love every facet of The Battle. Yeah. And it didn't help that her Daddy was killed in The Battle, which, instead of making her hate the war and go, "boo hoo," it had the reverse effect and made her love The Battle. How? I don't know. I guess Daddy dying honorably in The Battle made Dot want to do the same. Or just incessantly make fun of Relena, 'cause, you know, that's just as cool. Maybe even slightly more so.

Nationality: European.

Place of residence: Earth?

In all seriousness...: Dot's character is very complex, much like all the other Gundam Wing characters (anyone else sensing a pattern, here?). She plays it cool throughout the entire series, and then at the end, her defenses are somewhat shattered and she becomes confused and alone. Though she's been through some trauma, it's in her best interest to conceal all her pain with her witticisms and sarcasm. She's extremely calculated, highly intelligent and very alone. She mocks Relena and her very different ideas of total pacifism, but in all actuality, when Dot gets so close to the war she gets burnt, she realizes maybe she doesn't like it as much as she'd previously thought--maybe Dermail's teachings were somewhat blinded her and now that she's felt the heat, she can make her own decisions about the valiance of war...

Her brief appearance in Endless Waltz with her vehicle--"There's plenty of room for EVERYONE!" (Can you say "convenient plot lead"? Oh, sorry, that's probably too many syllables for you.)--was a Dot unlike one we'd ever seen. Well, still passionate and psychotic, but her vision seemed slightly altered. Her line (see below quotes section) at this point is probably one of the series' most oft-repeated.

Free Style Analysis Humor:

Ahh, Dorothy. So much to say. So little page.
As you all may know, she's related to Treize (Which makes her, in turn, related to that little red-headed brat Mariemaria.) (As if you couldn't tell by the eyebrows. Obviously, forked eyebrows are passed along by a gene. Perhaps the Psycho gene. Except Dermail's eyebrows weren't exactly forked. Well, there goes a theory. I guess the Fork Eyebrows Gene is a completely different gene from the Psycho Gene. Whatever the case, Dot got them both.)
She's prominent at the end of the Gundam Wing series, in which she is aboard White Fang as a high-powered mobile doll suit controller. She also stabs Quatre. Not to say he didn't really deserve it. I was dry-heaving through their entire conversation, and that bit at the end telling Trowa to take care of Dot? What, do you really think that she's that helpless?

And then Trowa comes and carry off his "Friend" for some...well, something, and says to Doroth, "How sad. A woman that can't cry." Now, no one quite knows what this quote is supposed to mean....does it mean women are SUPPOSED to cry? Women are weak? Is that what it means? Trowa, you sexist bitch, why don't you go sleep with Wufei, because you're almost as chauvinistic as he is. *sigh*

Anyway, Dottie (don't you just love the string of affectionate nicknames that I have thrust upon a fictional character?) is pretty cool...as part of the Romefellar Foundation, she hangs out in the Sanc Kingdom with Relena, trying to 'distract' her or what not. And I guess in her cleavage-bearing black party dress, she does a good job of it.

Dorothy Quotes:

"I don't see anyone like that here. The brave soldiers I knew are either dead and buried or right there where they should be."

"Can you get any better, Miss Relena? Now I'm even more of a fan!"

"No, I will NOT pluck my eyebrows."*

*Note: She has definitely said that at some point in her life. (Though perhaps not in the series...)

Rebel/Warrior was created by SeaShelle in June 2000. It was last updated in June 2005. Rebel/Warrior is just a little character/humor-oriented site about Mobile Suit: Gundam Wing, a Japanese anime by Sunrise and Bandai. This site has no affiliation with those companies. So yeah.
