Karen and Eledore.

/The Lovers/

Do these two even qualify as lovers? I'm really not sure about that, but on with the show! Really, there's not too much to the whole Karen/Eledore relationship, other than the fact that they would be good (and by "good", I actually mean "amusing.") together. Until Eledore's stupidity, obsession with music and constant strumming of guitar (while trying to create a "hit single" that will make them rich) finally causes Karen to murder him, ala shoving said-guitar down Eledore's throat. Karen, having been married once before to a military doctor who died in service, is thoroughly hardened to the core and is more cynical and wise than any of the other members of the squad. Eledore, on the other hand, is goofy. But claims he will be rich one day. This might be good for Karen, who would then be able to buy more army pants, in all different color prints. As exciting as that would be, Karen and Eledore are starkly different from one another, and their conflicting personalities would spell disaster. However, Karen does stay up all night watching over Eledore, and she is the one responsible for saving his life/fixing him up after he is riddled with bullets AKA used by Michel as a human shield. After this, of course, there's no living with Eledore, and Karen probably thinks she should have just left him to die, as he continuously refers to her as his "Angel" and other terms of endearment reminiscent of the fact that she saved his life. Though she might like to forget it. He even yells at her, "Don't die, because if you do, that will seriously mess up my life plans." She doesn't say anything, but later when she fears him to be dead, she screams desperately for him. More desperate than she would any other comrade? I think so, considering she seriously contemplated trying to kill Shiro. (Which probably wasn't such a bad idea at the time.) So whether Eledore stops fawning over Karen with time, Karen and Eledore get married, or Karen kills Eledore, we don't really know because neither of them are mentioned in Episode 12. Of course, personally, I think Sanders and Karen would go together better, but that's because it was funny when she kicked him in the nuts. Karen is tough, perpetually petulant, seriously buff, and hardened with time--while Eledore is on the scrawny side, effeminate, whiney and juvenile. So they're kind of like the odd couple of the series--but in a good way.

Rebel/Warrior was created by SeaShelle in June 2000. It was last updated in June 2005. Rebel/Warrior is just a little character/humor-oriented site about Mobile Suit: Gundam Wing, a Japanese anime by Sunrise and Bandai. This site has no affiliation with those companies. So yeah.
